Sondos completed her Bachelor degree in dental surgery in 1997. She then moved to Belfast where she graduated with a PhD in the field of dental trauma from Queen’s University Belfast in 2001.
She completed her specialist training in Paediatric Dentistry in Manchester and was appointed as a senior lecturer/honorary consultant at the University of Liverpool in 2011. Sondos has recently been promoted to a Reader in recognition of her research. She is a member of the executive team for the British Society of Paediatric Dentistry, an associate editor for the International Journal of Paediatric Dentistry and a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
Sondos’ main area of clinical practice is dental trauma and minimally invasive dentistry. She has experience in delivering complex care for children who requires specialist and multidisciplinary treatment.
