Kat graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2012 with a degree in Biochemistry and a degree in Dentistry. She began her career as a general dentist on the Wirral, later transitioning to a hospital role as a Senior House Officer (SHO) in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. This experience broadened her skills in paediatric dentistry, complex extractions, and managing dental and facial trauma. During her time as an SHO, Kat also completed her postgraduate diploma (MFDS) in Dental Surgery.
Kat then spent a few years in Queensland, Australia, where she continued her work as a general dentist whilst also working for the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service. Here, she provided dental care to patients with severe anxiety and complex medical conditions.
Since returning to the UK in 2017, Kat has worked as a general dentist and more recently as a clinical teacher in restorative dentistry. She earned her Master’s degree in Advanced Restorative Dentistry in 2021 after deciding that she wanted to focus on improving her skills in the management of complex cases.
Kat enjoys all areas of dentistry but has a special interest in restorative and aesthetic treatments. She offers a range of cosmetic services, including Invisalign, composite bonding, porcelain veneers, and full mouth rehabilitations. She is happy to accept referrals for complex restorative and aesthetic dental cases including the management of worn teeth.
For Kat, the most rewarding part of her job is being a family dentist and building long friendships with her patients.
Outside of dentistry, Kat is a busy mum of two but when she finds time, she enjoys indulging in music, staying fit, and exploring new culinary experiences as a true foodie.
